Built for anglers who enjoy the art of traditional fly fishing, the Abel TR features a classic click-and-pawl drag system that delivers smooth, consistent spool resistance without the complexity of a conventional disc drag. Its straightforward mechanical design provides an authentic fly fishing experience, allowing anglers to control powerful fish through careful line management and palming the reel.
The TR's lightweight, precision-machined aluminum frame offers exceptional durability while maintaining excellent balance with modern graphite and traditional fiberglass fly rods. Its large-arbor spool promotes efficient line retrieval and helps reduce fly line memory, making it an excellent choice for technical trout fishing, delicate dry fly presentations, and small-stream adventures.
